The US Drugstore giant Walgreen Co. will buy a 45 percent stake in Alliance Boots, which despite the appearance of its name, is a health retailer in the European marketplace. According to Reuters, Tencent Holdings, the largest internet company in China, will be acquiring a minority stake in Epic Games Inc., which develops technology for 3D video gaming. Insight made a bid for Quest Software Inc., topping a bid of $25.50 per share made by an unidentified entity last week. This intensifies the ongoing battle to try to take over the giant software maker, Quest. According to some, the unidentified bidder was Dell, Inc., but this is not verifiable, as this bidding is not a public process.
